International Credit Mobility ERASMUS (ΚΑ107)

The recently launched ERASMUS+ action of International Credit Mobility (ICM) supports the student and staff mobility between programme countries and non-programme partner countries.

PROCEDURES for partner HEIs

If not already in place, the partner university is advised to form an ERASMUS committee responsible for running the selection procedure and resolving any conflicts that may arise.

An officer should be in charge for dealing with all the paperwork and communication with TEISTE.

The selection of ERASMUS nominees must follow an open and transparent procedure.

The call for applications for the ERASMUS ICM grants is advertised at the site of the sending HEI at the beginning of each semester and clearly states:

- the available positions for the following semester

- the eligibility criteria

- the selection criteria

Following the selection procedure, the results must be announced at the sending HEI’s site.

Applicants that haven’t been selected may submit a complaint within a week. The ERASMUS committee or Officer must answer to any complaints within a week.

The eligibility criteria for an ERASMUS nominee are:

- signs the final Learning Agreement, upon acceptance of the student’s application

- establishes direct communication with the ERASMUS student

The candidates are notified via e-mail by the ERASMUS Office about the outcome of their application and are provided with support in finding accommodation during their mobility period.

Partner universities ensure that the students are well prepared and properly insured.
